Zion Chapel Baptist Church

Zion Chapel Baptist Church, No. 1, founded in 1865 at it's current location, started as log structure. Later torn down, the current sanctuary was constructed around 1912 as a wood frame building, with brick veneer added in 1941. Several additions followed with the most recent in 1964. This renovation of the existing sanctuary consisted of correcting structural issues, re-configuring the the roof trusses thus elevating the ceiling, and modernizing the building and it's interior finishes.
